Our terms and conditions for waste clearance services.

These terms of service govern your use of the Sorted Waste website and our waste clearance services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Service Description

Sorted Waste provides waste clearance, rubbish removal, and related services in Yeovil and the surrounding areas of Somerset, Dorset, and east Devon. We are a licensed waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency.

Our services include but are not limited to: house clearances, garden clearances, office clearances, single item collections, and specialist clearances such as end-of-tenancy, deceased estate, and hoarder clearances.

Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided by Sorted Waste are based on the information and images you provide at the time of enquiry. Please note:

  • Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated
  • If the volume or type of waste differs significantly from what was described or photographed, we reserve the right to adjust the price before commencing work
  • Prices include labour, transport, and disposal at a licensed waste facility
  • Payment is due on completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in advance
  • We do not charge call-out fees or hidden surcharges

Access and Safety

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • We have adequate access to the waste to be collected
  • You have the authority to instruct the removal of the items in question
  • The waste does not contain hazardous materials unless disclosed in advance (e.g. asbestos, chemicals, clinical waste)
  • Parking is available within reasonable proximity to the collection point

We reserve the right to decline or cease a job if we identify safety hazards, hazardous waste, or if access conditions differ materially from what was agreed.

Cancellation

You may cancel a booking free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled collection time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover our costs. If we need to cancel or reschedule a booking, we will give you as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative time at your convenience.

Liability

Sorted Waste carries public liability insurance. We take reasonable care when carrying out work on your property. However:

  • We are not liable for any pre-existing damage to property or access routes
  • Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the value of the service provided
  • We are not responsible for items removed at your instruction that you later wish to recover
  • Once waste has been collected, it is processed promptly and cannot be returned

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Waste Disposal

All waste collected by Sorted Waste is taken to licensed waste transfer stations for sorting and responsible disposal. We provide waste transfer notes for every job as required by law. We recycle or reuse over 90% of the waste we collect.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue. You can reach us at info@sortedwaste.co.uk or call 07375 749764. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 14 working days.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
